For various reasons, I feel impelled to blog about my faith again, for the first time since I closed Kingdom Come, the group Christian blog I used to run.

So, here's One Man's Journey, a new blog on About Life, the Alpha blog community.

It's an invite-only community, so if anyone wants to join the service, Alan or I can oblige. Just let us know.

Alpha Conference

The next Alpha Conference is at HTB on the 21st + 22nd November. I aim to go myself and would be glad of some company. BTW the current course is going very well, keep praying!

Late announcement!

Sorry it's so eleventh hour but there's a chance to go to Alpha Conference next Monday and Tuesday at HTB if anyone's up for it. I'm planning to go and it would be great to have company. I'm hoping for renewed vigour and direction. So far no plans have been made about our Autumn Term course......

It's our Church policy to pay the fee of any members attending. I can take care of the booking etc.

Update

It would have been too much of a stretch to start another course this term and last term being so short we'd have had to truncate that course. Instead now we're able to finish in comfort and we re-start tonight with "Why and how should we tell others?". Before Easter we had the last evening, "Does God heal today?" and it went well. Nina's told me she really felt the group bonding together. We're still hopeful and expectant and we're praying that people might be inspired to join young Becky (Marolin's daughter) when she gets baptised on Whit Sunday. The more the better!

Update

Another excellent and concise talk from Dale. We were very pleased to receive a couple more guests boosting the number to four. I’m very pleased and grateful with how it’s going and things are beginning to hot up. Wendy kindly tells me I’m talking way too much in the discussion! I’m still learning to let go and let God…..

Anchors away!

As Dale pointed out in Sunday's notice sheet we had no new guests last week, the first night of our 8th Alpha Course, but tonight we've 2 firm new bookings and so if last week's guest returns we'll have at least 3 people visiting and that should be enough for a very good evening. This evening's topic is "Who is Jesus?" and we pray he'll make himself known in our hearts as we seek the answer....

The first night of the new course is tonight! We've one firm booking and several possibles so will cater for a maximum of twelve.

I'm going to deliver Alpha postcards to Crossfields tomorrow to announce our upcoming course (it starts Tuesday week) and though happy to work alone I'd be grateful of help. It's a blatant act of Spiritual Warfare so come armed + ready for battle and if you can't come please cover us in prayer. We'll leave the church for the estate at noon but my mobile (07767-336394) will be powered-up so latecomers can track us down (or for SMS encouragement!).
